Guernsey March Newsletter

Guernsey March Newsletter

Well, it’s been a blowy few days but Jeff and I have made it to Brittany with the dogs only to be confronted by a weather warning to stay indoors because of high winds! – a rare occurrence in these parts. Still, it has given me the chance to sit down
and go on the computer.

By now, Roger and Susie will be on their extended cruise and so it has been left to me to compose this missive. As he’s not around to edit this, I’d like to take the opportunity to thank both Susie and Roger for all their hard work over the last twelve months and also to thank Sid for organising our functions, the next one being at La Barbarie on 23rd at 7.30pm. It’s a great menu and has been offered to us at a heavy discount. The food there is always good and  it’s a lovely place to eat so let’s hope we have a great turn-out. Sadly, Jeff and I will still be in France but we’ll drink a glass or two to your good health. Sid has requested that you let him know one way or the other if you will be going or not so he doesn’t have to get his whip out and chase people up (although I suspect he might quite like that!)

Diary

As well as other events throughout the year, Southampton Club are planning a trip to St Malo 4th-6th September and it would be great to join them there. Brighton are holding their Gala Night on Saturday 11th November so keep the date!
